My GG-Uncle, older brother of my G-Grandmother Catherine McCue Gendron.

Story as it appeared 'Springfield Daily Republican' June 16, 1934: "Thompsonville / Francis J. McCue Dies Suddenly / Well-Known Young Man Stricken With Heart Attack / ...died suddenly from a heart attack at his home 110 High Street late last night. During the past month he had been confined to his home suffering from pneunionia, but he had apparently fully recovered and returned to his work Monday morning... Mr McCue was born in this village a son of the late Mr and Mrs Arthur McCue, and had always lived in the same house where he died. He attended St Joseph's parochial school and after graduation he entered the employment of the International Casket Hardware Company in this village and had held a responsible job with that company until present time. Although Mr. McCue had taken an active part in the civic affairs of the town of Enfield, he never aspired to public office. He was a member of St. Patricks church and of the Holy Name society connected with the church, and was a member of the benefit association formed among the employees of the Casket Hardware company. He had made his home with his two sisters, the Misses Elizabeth J & Mary E McCue, by which he is survived and by a brother Arthur P. McCue of Hartford and by five nieces and two nephews, and three grandnieces. The funeral will be held at the home Monday morning 9:30. to be followed by a solemn high mass in St. Patrick's church at 10, to which friends are invited, and the burial will be in the lot in St. Patrick's old cemetery."
