Mrs. Geneva Paulk Barfield, 79, of Sylvester and Painesville, Ohio died Saturday August 4, 2012 at her daughter's residence in Painesville, Ohio.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday August 9, 2012 at Banks Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in the Salem Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Barfield was born on July 19, 1933 to the late Ray William Paulk and Lola Mae Horne Bridges in Colquitt County, GA. She had worked for the Worth County Board of Education having worked in the cafeteria. Mrs. Barfield loved her children, grandchildren and her great grandchildren. She was a member of Salem Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter Karen A. MacWilliams (Frank) of Painesville, OH; son, Donald "Don" D. Barfield (Sharon) of Perry, OH; sisters, Shirley Apperson (Heywood) of Sylvester, Betty Rose Jacobs of Ocala, FL, Dottie Haire (Murray) of Sylvester, Debbie Sumner (Johnny) of Sylvester; a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 10:00 AM until service hour at Banks Funeral Home Chapel.
