a deacon and former sunday school teacher of grace baptist church, ingram had lived in tahlequah since 1945 and for the past nineteen years he had been a carpenter at northeastern oklahoma state university. during WWII, ingram served in the U.S. army and was a former member of the veterans of foreign wars.
