Snowmobile Accident
The temperature had fallen below zero Friday night and was at 7 below just after 7 a.m. Saturday and 2 above as of 7:30 a.m. Sunday. The body of an Illinois man was recovered Sunday in Walworth County from Delavan Lake, where he had disappeared after going for a snowmobile ride; The Walworth County Sheriff's Department said divers found the body of Erik J. Gunderson, 20, of Bloomingdale, IL., in 30 feet of water, about 65 feet from his submerged snowmobile. The department said investigators had found a snowmobile track leading to a large area of open water on the lake after Gunderson was reported missing Saturday night.
