Michael J. Adamo, 60, a long-time resident of Rosenberg, passed away Saturday, Dec. 26, 1998, at St. Luke's Heart Institute from complications contracted from a triple bypass surgery. Mr. Adamo recently retired from Texas Instruments. He was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association, as well as a member of the Houston Gun Collector's Association and the Fort Bend Rifle and Pistol Club.
Mr. Adamo is survived by his wife of 25 years, Estelle Adamo; daughters, Mellany Newman and husband, Charles, and Vickie Villarreal; son, USAF Chief Master Sargent Stanley Norwood and wife, USAF Chief Master Sargent Nadene Norwood; brother, Joe Pat Adamo; grandchildren, Stephanie and Joe Villarreal, Sylvia Norwood, Michael Wayne and Wesley Walenta, and Chase and Brandon Newman; great-grandchildren, Noah Newman and Adrian Villarreal; nieces, Regina and Rebecca Adamo; and many other relatives throughout Houston.
Friends are invited to visitation with the family from 1 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 29, in the Chapel of The Settegast-Kopf Co. at Sugar Creek. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 507 S. Fourth St., Richmond, with Deacon Don Ries officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
The family requests that memorials be made to the American Heart Association, 1415 La Concha, Houston 77064.
