Dr. Lloyd A. MORGAN, 78, 614 E. Rochester St., Akron, died at 7 a.m. Sunday at his residence.

Born in Plymouth to Oscar E. and Hazel UNGER MORGAN, he married Betty Drusilla IVEY May 6, 1945, in Jacksonville, Fla. She survives.

Dr. Morgan was a chiropractor for 40 years in Akron. He graduated in 1942 from Lapaz High School and in 1953 from Grand Palmer College of chiropractory. He was a member of Akron United Methodist Church, Akron Lions Club, former member of Akron Masonic Lodge and Order of the Eastern Star, Scottish Rite and Mizpah Shrine, both of Fort Wayne, and a 33-year member of Rozella Ford Golf Club, Warsaw. A bowler for several years in the league at North Manchester, he also loved gardening. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

Surviving with his wife, at home, are four daughters, Michele BRAUN and husband Tony, Logansport, Adria MARTINEZ, Akron, Allison STREVY and husband Gene, North Manchester, and Denise BUSSARD and husband David Akron; two sons, Dr. James [MORGAN] and wife Jan and Lloyd A. [MORGAN] Jr. and wife Kathy, all of Akron; 15 grandchildren; 13 greatgrandchildren; six sisters, Jane WILSON and husband Ralph, Indianapolis, Mary Ann ORR and husband Joe, Warsaw, Helen ROBINSON and husband Mahlon and Barbara ELLIOTT and husband Jake, all of Tippecanoe, Kay SMITH and husband Bill, Plymouth, and Lois EVANS and husband Marty, South Bend; three brothers, James R. "Dick" [MORGAN] and wife Marvis, Akron, Daren [MORGAN] and wife Dorothy, Plymouth, and Stanley [MORGAN] and wife Dorothy, Akron.

Preceding in death were one daughter, Drusilla WHITTENBERGER, two brothers, Adrian and Wayne [MORGAN], and one sister, Norma FILLENGER.

A private family memorial service was held in Akron. There will be no public service or visitation. Burial is at Akron Cemetery. Hartzler Funeral Home, Akron, is handling arrangements.
