BARNES - MRS. EDITH LEE, 79, of Day-
ton, Tenn., died Saturday afternoon in a
Chattanooga hospital. She was of the Church
of God faith and was preceded in death by
her husband, William S. Barnes, in 1979.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Do-
rothy Scherrone, Delmont, Pa.; four sons.
J.C., Tommy, Bobby and Austin Barnes, all
of Dayton; three sisters, Mrs. Daisy Wil-
banks, LaFayette, Ga., Mrs. Dora Sittloh,
Atlanta, and Mrs. Dixie Vaughn, Oneonta,
Ala.; 20 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchil-
dren, one great-great-grandchild, several
nieces and newphews. Services will be held
Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Sawyer's
Funereal Service, Dayton, with the Rev. Ed-
ward Dodd officiating. Burial will be in Rhea
Memory Gardens.
