Vida Teresa Dillon, 85, of Nampa, passed away Friday, October 23, 1998, at a Nampa care center. Vida was born July 5, 1913, in Moorwood, Oklahoma, the daughter of Henry Clay Harney and Bertha Ann Piper Harney. She graduated from high school in 1932 and married John L. Dillon in Moorwood, Oklahoma on May 18, 1932. They moved to Idaho in 1936. Vida was a member of the Oregon Trail Church of God. She fulfilled many positions during her lifetime, serving many offices including Sunday School Superintendent, Missionary President, and taught many Sunday School classes. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and friend. She was a woman of strong Christian faith, an example of 1 Timothy 4:12 "Let no man despise thy youth, but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conservation, in charity, in spirit, faith, in purity."
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Bob and Virginia Dillon of Caldwell, Jim and Kaaran Dillon of Nampa, and Dwayne and Glenda Dillon of Caldwell; six grandchildren, Ron Dillon of Boise, John Dillon of Boise, Teresa Monaghan of Caldwell, Susan Wartman of Meridian, Greg Dillon of Portland, Ore. and Kara Dillon of Boise; ten great grandchildren; a sister, Syrena Boal of Boise; a brother, Doil Harney of Kuna; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, John; a daughter, JoAnna; two sisters, Opal Harney and Ila Hill, her parents; and a great-grandson.
