Robert London Caudle, 92, of Union City, formerly of the District No. 7 community, died July 31, 2012, at his home.

Services will be 3 p.m. Friday at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with Roger Fisher and Wesley Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from noon until the hour of services Friday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Roy Griffith, Joe Griffith, Bill Cherry, Ricky Reed, Jim Stephens, Sammy Waggener, Joe Caudle and Todd Caudle. Honorary pallbearers will be Jean Cherry, Jane Fisher, Linda Jackson, Ann Reed, Carolyn Griffith, Joanne Griffith, Linda Stephens, Emily Waggener, Ronnie and Brenda Jones and Ed and Kathy Whitfield.

The family requests that memorials be made to the charity of the donor's choice.

He was born July 28, 1920, in Obion County, son of the late George Raymond and Lucy Jane (London) Caudle. He married the former Iradell Wagster Dec. 22, 1944. She survives. He spent most of his life in District No. 7 near Rives, where he was a farmer and a dairy farmer. He later worked for the Obion County Highway Dept. for 18 years. He was a U.S. Army World War II veteran and was a member of Berea Church of Christ.

He is also survived by his son and two daughters-in-law, William R. "Bill" and Mary Caudle of Chattanooga and Betty Jo Caudle of Union City; three grandchildren and their spouses, Joe and Christine Caudle and Marisa and Kevin Morris, all of Florida, and Todd and Stephanie Caudle of Union City; and five great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by his son, Bobby Caudle; his daughter-in-law, Susan Caudle; his great-grandson, Damon Morris; and two sisters, Zuline Roberts and Virginia Slusher.
