Funeral Services for Janis Cooksey Canham of Jackson's Gap, AL will be at Jackson's Gap Baptist Church on Thursday, August 2, 2012, at 11 AM. Burial will be in the Jackson's Gap Cemetery. Rev. Charles Horton will officiate.

Mrs. Canham was born on August 19, 1950, to the late John Clarence and Nancy Virginia Finch Cooksey and passed away on July 30, 2012, at the age of 61.
She was mayor of Jackson's Gap and a member of Jackson's Gap Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her infant sister and brother John Terance Cooksey. She is survived by her husband Alton Canham of Jackson Gap, AL; son Brad Eugene (Chrystal) Vickers of Houston, TX; daughter Nancy Virginia Vickers of Jackson Gap, AL; brother Tommy (Bettye) Cooksey of Auburn, AL; brother Harry (Linda) Cooksey of Atlanta, GA; sister Debbie Cooksey of Auburn, AL; four grandchildren Madisyn, Payton, Kenzie and Kole; niece and care-giver Terrianne McCreight of Jackson's Gap, AL and numerous other nieces and nephews.
