Graveside services were held Friday, June 20th at 11 a.m. at Lane Memorial Gardens for Frank Gates of 330 Southwest Juniper, Junction City. Reverend George Blair officiated. Interment was in Lane Memorial Gardens. Murphy Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Frank Gates passed away June 18, 1975 at the age of 73. He was born July 4, 1901 in Crow, Oregon, and was united in marriage to Lillie McBeth in Seattle, Washington on May 6, 1974. He is survived by his wife, Lillie: two step-children; James McBeth of Boise Springs, California and Pat Bitner of McGuire Air Force Base; one brother Elery Gates of Veneta; one sister, Bessie Bjerkness of Seattle, Washington; five step-grandchildren.
What was not mentioned in Frank's obituary is the fact that he had two other children, (that we know of). Gladys Gates and Jimmy Gates. Frank was married 5 times, and there may have been other children.
