Lois Sloan Burgess, 81, of Moultrie, died Saturday, July 28, 2012, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
Born Feb. 16, 1931, in Moultrie, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Homer Sloan and Julia Giles Sloan. She was a homemaker and was a member of Ione United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Bill Stevenson Burgess of Moultrie; two daughters, Stephanie Johnson and husband Phil of Moultrie and Teresa Burke and husband Marc of Hosford, Fla.; one son, Jody Burgess and wife Pam of Moultrie; three grandchildren, Samantha Griffin, Ryan Burgess and Preston Burke; and three great-grandchildren, Luke Griffin, Bo Griffin and Danica Burgess.
