Elgie Buchwald, 85, former Comanche County resident, died Wednesday in a Shawnee hospital. Funeral will be held in the Roesch Brothers Funeral Home Chapel there. Graveside services and burial will be in the Faxon Cemetery. Mrs. Buchwald was born in Murfreesboro, Tenn. She married Frank Buchwald in 1923 in Faxon. Following her husband’s death in 1928, Mrs. Buchwald remained in the Faxon community until 1944 when she moved to Shawnee. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Stella Baker of the home in Shawnee, and a niece of Long Beach, California.
