Lillian Irene Ervine

Lillian Irene Ervine, 51, passed away at 2:45 a.m. at the home of her daughter, with whom she had resided for three months. She had been in ill health 6 mos.

She was born June 8, 1903 in Fayette County, Indiana, to Oscar and Mary Effie Pearce Ennis and had been a lifelong resident of Fayette County. She was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary of Richmond, V.F.W Auxiliary, Women of the Moose and Pocahontas Lodge in Connersville. Until her illness she had been employed at America Central for 12 yrs.

Surviviving her are her daughter, Juanita Friend and a son John Allen Ervine, Jr. of Connersville; her Father, Nathaniel Oscar Ennis of Connersville; three sisters, May Snodgrass of Connersville and Emily Winkler and Jennie Powell of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; two brothers, Homer Ennis of Connersville and Charles Ennis of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; four grandchildren, Kathy and Billy Friend, Agnes and Barbara Ervine.

Services will be held at Myers Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m.. Burial will be in Dale Cemetery.

NOTE: My Grandmother married John C. Ervine Jan. 28, 1920 in Fayette County, Indiana. Years later they were divorced. She never remarried.

Cause of death: Liver cancer
