Andrew (Alexander) A. Ervine

Andrew A. Ervine, 89, passed away this morning at 8:30 a.m.. He had been in failing health for five years.

He was born October 28, 1865 in Nicholas County, Kentucky. He was one of 12 children born to George and Sarah Smart Ervine. He had lived near Carlisle, Nicholas, Kentucky and a member of the Mt. Zion Christian Church, before moving here with his family 37 years ago. He was employed by Rex Mfg. Co. for over 23 yrs.

Survivors besides his wife, Minnie B. Hopkins of Carlisle, Nicholas, Kentucky whom he married Oct. 5, 1892 in Aberdeen, Brown County, Ohio; three daughters, Mrs. Cleveland Hamilton of Hartford City, Indiana, Mrs. James Cullison of Connersville, Indiana and Mrs. Ray Studebaker of Muncie, Indiana; six sons, John and Ernest of Alpine, Indiana, Campbell (Cam) of South Bend, Indiana, George of California, and Tony and Vernon of Connersville, Indiana; 23 Grandchildren; 19 Great Grandchildren and one Great Great Grandaughter.

Services will be at Myers Funeral home on Monday. Burial will be in Dale Cemetery.
