From the Greenfield Vedette, September 5, 1935 -- FRANK BEAL - Joseph Franklin Beal was born November 23, 1870, and departed this life August 25, 1935, being 64 years, 9 months and 2 days old.
Frank Beal, as we all knew him, was the youngest son of William and Ellen Beal, both having preceded him in death as also have his two brothers, Tom (died June 26, 1933, Aldrich, MO) and Hardy Beal (died Dec 29, 1925, Berryville, Ark FAG# 54669557).
He leaves to morn his loss several nieces and nephews and many friends, also the members of the Will Cheek family, in whose home he has lived since about 14 years of age. He spent his entire life in this community, in his silent way going about doing no man harm. Thus a quiet life is ended and Frank has joined that innumerable caravan which journeys to that land from which no wanderer ever returns. He went not like one driven to a dungeon, but as one who wraps his mantle around him and lies down to pleasant dreams.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Tom Proctor at Bona on August 36, and interment was made in the Long Cemetery.
