Arlene Virginia Brown Ashley, 70, formerly of Potsdam, died Thursday in the Regional Medical Facility of Melbourne, Fla.
The funeral was held at Garner Funeral Home, with the Rev. Sam Davis officiating. Burial was made in Bayside Cemetery.
Surviving are a brother, Donald G. Brown and a sister, Sally Hover Douglas.
Born in Potsdam on June 9, 1923, a daughter of Guy and Hazel Lawson Brown, she attended Potsdam High School and married Lawrence Ashley on June 14, 1944, in St. Phillip's Episcopal Church. He died April 26, 1975.
Mrs. Ashley had lived in Unionville and Potsdam until 1980, when she moved to Melbourne.
