Rosalie Louise Teresa Herman Ady was born on Dec. 21, 1933. Rosalie was the third daughter and Christmas present to Joe and Rose Herman in Goodland, Kan. Rosalie joined three sisters, Evelyn, Josephine and Sherrie, as well as four brothers, Joe, Jim, Jerry and Jack.
Rosalie spent her childhood and received her education in Montrose, where she graduated from Montrose High School with the class of 1951.
After high school, Rosalie married Vernon Ady.
Rosalie was employed by Judge Kemp, as well as Dr. Plummer and then with Colorado Ute Electric Association until the time of her retirement. Rosalie enjoyed her school friends for many years at their monthly lunch meetings, which continued until her health slowed her down.
Survivors include her daughter, Alyson Pezzullo and fiance Ron Vigil; her brothers, Jim (Dee) Herman, Jerry (Donna) Herman; her sisters, Sherry (Richard) McComb and Ann (Neal) Hayward, as well as her aunt, Christina Gray. Rosalie is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, which include her niece, Tonia McComb and nephews, Richard, Randall and Ronald Herman (also known as the rotten kids to Rosalie).
Rosalie was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Rose Herman; her husband, Vernon; her sisters, Evelyn Hadley and Josephine Jackson; and her brothers, Joseph and Jack Herman. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Rosalie will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at Crippin Funeral Home Chapel. The service will conclude at the chapel.
