Kenneth D. Gilbert, 81, formerly of Davenport, passed away Thursday, July 19, 2012, at Crestridge Care Center in Maquoketa.
Visitation will be 3:00 to 6:00 p.m., Monday, July 23, at Bentley Funeral Home in Durant. Memorial donations may be made to the Walcott Fire Department or Crestridge Care Center in his memory.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 24, at Bentley Funeral Home in Durant. Burial will be in the Durant Cemetery, Durant, Iowa.
Kenneth Dale Gilbert was born August 2, 1930, in Scott County, the son of Emil and Bernice (Bailey) Gilbert. He married Gloria Ann Garvin in March 1951, in Davenport and were later divorced. He married Mary Helen (Hild) Steadman on February 12, 1966, in Cambridge, Illinois. Mary preceded him in death on January 1, 2001. He married Pamela Wiege and were later divorced. He owned and operated Tri City Blue Print. He enjoyed dancing and spending time with his friends and family.
Surviving are one daughter, Cheryl (Jerry) Vaughn of Ringgold, GA; two sons, Randall (Henrietta) Gilbert of Rossville, GA, and Gregory (Starr) Gilbert of Charleston SC; two step-daughters, Ava (Matt) Simmons of Sherrard, IL, and Annette (Patrick) Henneberry of Chicago, IL; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Janice (Alan) Ralfs of Stockton, Marlene (Robert) Westphal of Davenport and Donna (Arthur) Rairez of WIlton.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Mary.
