Christopher was living in Merricourt, ND when he entered the service and was a member of Company A, 13th Engineer Combat Battalion, 7th Infantry Division.

He was riding in a truck when it struck a land mine. He was taken to the 8063rd Mobile Army Surgical Hospital (MASH), where he died on June 12, 1952.

Private First Class Geiszler was awarded the Purple Heart, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
