Carringer, Johnnie age 79, of Knoxville, passed away Saturday, July 21, 2012 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. Member of Central Baptist Church Fountain City. She was a volunteer at Physicians Regional Medical Center (St. Marys) for 40 years. Johnnie loved tennis and her tennis friends.

Preceded in death by parents, John and Edna Gilmer; sister, Mary Lynn Lett.

Survivors: husband, Frank Carringer; daughter, Teri Carringer, both of Knoxville; son, Scott Carringer of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Nick Carringer of Knoxville, Mackenzi and Jude Carringer of Louisiana; sister, Ann Watson of Knoxville; several other very close family members.

Funeral service 7:00 p.m. Monday at Central Baptist Church Fountain City with Rev. Ron Mouser officiating. Family and friends will meet 9:45 a.m. Tuesday at Greenwood Cemetery for a 10:00 a.m. entombment service. Family will receive friends 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday at the church. Serving the family, Stevens Mortuary, Oglewood Avenue at North Broadway.
