She was born Nov. 25, 1917 in Burlington to the late Charley and Arvella (Lanning) Rhine. She was a 1935 graduate of Burlington High School. On July 7, 1937 she was married to Wayne R. Metsger, who preceded her in death on Sept. 12, 1966. She was later married to D. Eugene Davis who preceded her in death in 1994.
She worked at Delco Electronics retiring after 35 years of service. Thelma enjoyed cooking and she loved her cats.
She is survived by her son, Ronald (Judith) Metsger, Montecello; two grandchildren, Cynthia Masood, Lafayette, and Julie (Michael) Blanton, Brookfield, Ill., one great-grandchild, Maddie Masood; a sister, Dorotha Robinson, Carmel; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; five brothers; and three sisters.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Stout and Son Funeral Home, Neptune Chapel, 44 Michigan St., Burlington, with Pastor Dave Osborne officiating, Burial will follow in Burlington Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 11 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
