B. Elaine Atkinson, 67, died July 19, 2012, at Hospice House, Hutchinson.
She was born June 24, 1945, in Hutchinson, the daughter of Verle Ralph and Beulah Lorraine Green Hall.
Elaine graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1963, and from Sidney's Hair Dressing College. She was a cosmetologist for 34 1/2 years at Hutchinson Hospital. She enjoyed gardening and landscaping and was an avid collector of occupied Japan figurines.
On December 19, 198,1 she married Colbert Lee 'Bert' Atkinson in Hutchinson. He survives.
Other survivors include: daughter, Deanna Renee Prichard and husband Stanley, Hutchinson; four sisters, Lynnette Smith and husband Steve, Phyllis Dodge and husband Larry, and Joyce Gibbs and husband Richard, all of Hutchinson, and Sheryl Lord and her late husband Ron, Chattanooga, TN; five grandchildren, Britanny Baxter, Cassandra, Abigail, Daniel, and Jason Prichard, great-grandchild, Crystal Baxter.
Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at Penwell Gabel Funeral Home Chapel with Eldon Smith presiding. Burial will be in Penwell Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Sunday and from 9:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. Monday with family present from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Monday evening all at the funeral home.
