Funeral services for Mr. Reynold Janie Boy Alexander will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 23, 2006 in the Chapel of Ideal Funeral Parlor. Interment will follow in the Lawson Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. He died on Thursday, August 17, 2006 at his residence in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
He was born in Florence, South Carolina, a son Elijah B. Peterson and Janie Alexander. He attended the public schools of Florence County. At an early age, he joined Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three children and four siblings.
Survivors are: seven daughters, Annie P. (Leroy) Smith, Mary McIver, Vivian Pee Wee Jackson, Gal Peterson, Gloria Jean Murray, Crystal Alexander and Tyra A. Greene; 23 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; two sisters, Elease (Frank) Williams and Evelyn (Dwelly) Davis; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
