Genevieve R. Yingling Bevenour, 94, formerly of New Oxford, died Sunday evening, Sept. 23, at the Hanover Hall in Hanover.
She was the wife of the late Linus J. Bevenour.
She was born on Jan. 6, 1896, in Adams County, daughter of the late John and Philomena Hockensmith Yingling.
She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Oxford; and also a member of the Rosary Society of the church.
She is survived by three daughters, Dorothy A. Shrader, Nadine M. Dettinburn and Mary Ann Shriver, all of New Oxford; three sons, Richard S. Bevenour of Spring Grove, William F.Bevenour of Hanover and Burnell. Bevenour of New Oxford; one sister, Blanche Staub of new Oxford; 39 grandchildren; 83 great grandchildren; 19 great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will he held on Wednesday, Sept. 26, meeting at the Feiser Funeral Home, New Oxford at 9:15 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at the Immaculate Conception Church in New Oxford at 10 a.m., with Monsignor Lawrence Overbaugh as celebrant. Interment will be in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in New Oxford.
