Born at Richland Hills Animal Shelter in a litter of 7 babies, Mouse was rescued at 3 1/2 weeks, weighing only 4 ounces at that time. The mom had quit feeding and bathing the litter for several days.

Unkown at the time of rescue he had already contracted Corona Virus, a common virus at animal shelters. So, before the age of two, the virus mutated into Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP). There is no way to know or plan for something like FIP.

Just three weeks past his second birthday, Mouse woke up on a Saturday morning and looked at me to let me know he was about to cross over The Rainbow Bridge.

I carried him to the vet, and then on to Faithful Friends Crematory. His ashes are forever with me and Mouse and I can visit at anytime, almost as if he has never left.

Mouse loved to sit in my lap and watched on the laptop the baby movies of himself. His favorite You-Tube video is "Oriental cats, lion sleeps tonight".

When he wanted a snack or a hug, I would ask him to do baby-face-wash. He would quickly start rubbing his face with his front paw and look at me to show me he had washed his face.

Mouse like to follow me to the bathroom and jump up on the lid of the toilet and talk to me. One time the lid was not down, so when he jumped onto the toilet, he fell in.

Mouse loved chasing laser lights and feather boas, sleeping in his hammock and the long afternoons at the front window just to watch the world go by.

He is a truly loving and sweet companion. Since I did not get to love him for a lifetime, I will miss him for a lifetime.
