Mrs. Matson was born in Hillsdale, Mich., December 30, 1836, and has lived in Meadville about thirty years.
She was a woman of fine character and beloved by all who know her.
She is survived by her husband and four children, John S. Matson, superintendent of transportation on the Bessemer railway; Charles, Mrs. Thomas Lloyd and Mrs. A. W. Affantranger, of this city, all of whom were at her bedside during her last illness. - Meadville Tribune.
