Lucy was born on October 14, 1909 in Pintada, NM to the home of Egripino and Eulalia Sena Segura. Lucy married Virgino Fajardo on November 7, 1932 in Santa Rosa, NM.
Lucy was a member of the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Santa Rosa and was actively involved in the Sacred Heart Sodality, 50s Plus and the Altar Society. Lucy was also a member of the Campos Senior Citizens where she spent a lot of her time quilting. Lucy was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Lucy is preceded in death by her parents and her son, Raymond Fajardo.
Survivors include her husband, Virginio Fajardo of the family home in Santa Rosa, her daughters, Maggie Baca and Viola Chavez of Santa Rosa, grandchildren, Raymond Baca and his wife, Frances of Dallas, TX, Andrew Chavez and his wife, Mary of Albuquerque, Yolanda Bela and her husband, Don of Lubbock, TX and Patrick Chavez and his wife, Julie of Albuquerque, great-grandchildren, Justin Baca, Rico Baca, Ariana Bela and Felipe Chavez. Also surviving is her sister, Flora Romero of Santa Rosa and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends.
Rosary services will be held on Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday morning at 10:00 a.m. also at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church with Father Leo Padget officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
