a farm near Havana, North Dakota. After
finishing school, his first job was with
Civilian Conservation Corps, in the black
hills area.
He married Stella Wolland, on July 17, 1940. He bought a farm in Marshall County, South Dakota. He farmed for about 10
years, then decided to try road construction.
He retired in 1958, moved back to the farm
until March 2006, when he and his wife,
Stella, moved in Seasons Healthcare Center,
Forman, North Dakota.
