Helen Mar Warburton Clark, age 88 of Vernal, lost her long hard battle with Alzheimer's disease at her home on May 17, 2012 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born October 3, 1923 in Lapoint, Utah to Floyd and Eva Wardell Warburton. She attended Alterra High School and married Daniel Clark on June 8, 1943 in Vernal. Together they had 3 children. Daniel passed away in 1993.

Helen was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints and served in many positions in the church. She was employed by Ashton's Department Store and she worked as a checker and in the billing department there. She loved sewing, embroidery, and to pack a lunch to go get a load of firewood on the mountain. But dancing with her sweetheart Daniel brought Helen pure joy in her life.

Helen is survived by her children; Danette Clark, Barbara (Gary) Moon, and Kenneth (Bub) Clark, 7 grandsons, and sister-in-laws; Rhea Warburton, Judy Warburton, and Vida Clark.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 24, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary. Viewing will be Wednesday from 6 - 8 p.m. and one hour prior to services at the mortuary. Burial will be in the Vernal Memorial Park under the care and direction of the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary.
