Lena LaVon Lee was born in Woodburn, Iowa in Clark County. Her parents were Elmer Taylor Lee and Linda Warrick Lee. Lena attended school in Van Wert. She married Austin Eugene White of Martinsburg, Iowa on July 3,1935 in Trenton, Missouri. Gene and Lena lived in the Martinsburg and Packwood communities before moving to Monett, Missouri, where she spent most of her life. She was a member of the Baptist Church, Pierce City, Missouri.

Lena and Gene were the parents of 2 children: Scott William White and Nancy Lee White, both deceased. They had 2 grandsons, Bruce White (deceased) and Lonnie White.

Lena was the Sister-in-law of Roscoe and Eunice White and the beloved Aunt of Mary White Maxwell and Mike White.

Funeral services were held Thursday, January 11, 1968. Lena Lavon White died Sunday, January 7, in the Clarke County Public Hospital in Osceola. Rev. John McCallum conducted the service at the Webster Funeral Home in Osceola with burial in Woodburn Cemetery, Woodburn.

Survivors included her husband, Austin Eugene of Woodburn; her mother, Mrs. Linda Lee of Woodburn; one son, William Scott of Independence, Missouri; grandson, Bruce Eugene White of Independence, Missouri; two sisters, Mrs. O.N. Gardner of South Gate, California and Mrs. Mildred Joy of Riverside, California; two brothers, Kenneth Lee of Norwalk, California and Robert Lee of Carlisle, Iowa; and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her father and one daughter, Nancy.
