Aromanus Lyles...and settled on his father's plantation, where his father died in 1817....and on William Fant's place on the Columbia Road in January 1821...Major Lyles represented Fairfield in the Legislature for eight years. He married Mary A. C. Woodward in December 1810. They had only two children, Thomas M. and William S. Lyles. His wife died in 1855...
