MARJORIE "MARGE" ABRAMOWSKI, 72, passed away on Wednesday, July 18, 2012. Born in Lafayette, Ind., she was a caring and supportive person to many people especially her family. She was a registered nurse graduating from Methodist Hospital School of Nursing. She was a nurse till the day she went to see the Lord. Later in life, she earned her master's degree in counseling from IUSB. After she and her husband moved to Fort Wayne in 1985, she started several counseling programs in Catholic elementary schools. Then she went into private practice and started her own counseling practice. She retired in 2008 and she thoroughly enjoyed spending her winters at Valencia Lakes outside of Tampa. She was a volunteer at the Habitat ReStore. She enjoyed playing golf, working in her flower garden and water color painting. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband, Stanley Abramowski; children, Michael (Jennifer) Abramowski of Grand Rapids, Mich., Pamela (Michal) Meissner of Fort Wayne and Douglas (Kristina) Abramowski of Fort Wayne; six grandchildren, Karina, Gaby, Kayla, Jake, Allie, and Ryan; sisters, Joyce Schulte and Linda (Jim) Kult; sister-in-law, Marilyn Nesbitt; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Cleatith; brother, Dan Nesbitt; and brother-in-law, George Schulte. FORT WAYNE – The Allen County Coroner's Office has identified the second victim in a head-on, two-car collision that left two people dead Wednesday morning in southwest Allen County.

Stephen E. Creel, 47, of Stilesville in Hendricks County, was driving a green Honda Accord north on Homestead Road when it veered across the centerline and into the southbound lane, a witness at the scene told sheriff's investigators.

That car collided with a silver Honda Accord driven by Marjorie "Marge" S. Abramowski, 72, of Fort Wayne.

The crash occurred about 6:50 a.m. on Homestead Road just north of Ernst Road, according to the Allen County Sheriff's Department.

Both Abramowski and Creel died at the scene. Their deaths are the county's 22nd and 23rd traffic fatalities in the county this year.

No passengers were in either car.

Abramowski was wearing a seat belt. Creel was not, according to the coroner's office.

The crash remains under investigation. Abramowski was a registered nurse and had her own counseling practice, according to her obituary. She was a volunteer at the Habitat ReStore.

The Mass of Christian Burial is set for 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, with calling one hour prior. Calling is scheduled from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road.
