ANDREW JENSEN DIES SUDDENLY AT OREGON HOME

NATIVE OF COUNTY, SON OF PIONEEERS, WAS FARMER AND LAWMAKER

Relatives here have received word of the unexpected death of Andrew G. Jensen, descendant of pioneer and highly respected family.

Born March 2, 1879, at Blair, to Mr. and Mrs. Soren Jensen, he grew to manhood here and on March 14th, 1900, he was married to Miss Anna Wulff, who died in May of 1934. They were the parents of two sons, Harland C. of Fremont, and Raymond M. of Portland, Oregon.

He moved from Blair to Fremont in 1926 where the wife died. During the time of his residence in Dodge county, he was elected to the legislature, serving for two terms in the old bicameral legislature, serving in 1931 and 1933.

He married Miss Minnie Lubker in 1936 and the following year they moved to Portland, Oregon, where they have since lived.

Andrew Jensen as Blair people knew him was a progressive farmer and the owner of the fine farm west of Blair, now owned by Hans Braesch. While he owned the farm he built one of the finest farm homes in the county. He made of it a show place and people for miles around admired its beauty.

Survivors include his widow; the two sons; five grandchildren; four brothers, Nels M., Ed. A., Henry C., all of Blair; and Albert A. of Millard; and three sisters, Mrs. A. H. Voss of Long Beach, California; Mrs. Ed Gilbertson, now visiting in California; and Mrs. Henry Voss of Blair. Two brothers and three sisters preceded him in death.

Funeral services, expected to be held at the First Baptist Church here, will await the arrival of the body from Oregon.
