Robert was the son of William F Beanblossom and Pauline Miller. He was married to Juanita Lester and they had one son Robert, one daughter Robyn (married a Kunkel). Robert was proceeded in death by his parents and a brother William "Billy".
He was a retired coal miner, a member of UMWA and worked in his quiet manner, without fanfare and without calling attention to himself, to help enact and to preserve black lung benefits for coalminers everywhere. Also, he was a member of the Hanover House of Faith
