William Lee "Bil" Addington,Sr.,69, of Union City,IN., died Friday,July 13,2012, at St. Vincent Randolph Hospital Winchester.
He was born Oct. 13,1942 in Randolph Co., to the late Gerald and Ruth (Potter) Addington. He was a farmer who was employed for 43 years with the Union City Body Company. Addington was a member of UAW #494, ABATE Motorcycle Club and Cushman Scooters. He loved his grandchildren, golfing, gardening and farming.
Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Dorinda (Lea) Addington;children, William Lee Addington Jr. of Salamonie, Phillip Todd (Tracy) Addington of Wilmington, Oh., Christine Dawn Lane of Muncie, Daryl Lea (Beth) Boyter of Greenville,OH., and Matthew Trent (Rana) Addington of Union City; 12 grandchildren, Kaleb J. Lane, Grace M. Addington, Chase P. Addington, Shelby S. Addington, Brock T. Boyter, Jesse L. Addington, Isaac J. Lane, Brett A. Boyter, William L. Addington III, Makenna J. Addington, Brelee A. Addington and Daniel Reece;four sisters, Nila (Dale) King of Saratoga, Ardith (Jerry) Rohrer of Ft. Recovery,OH; two brothers, Dave (Donita) Addington of Columbus, Mark (Tonya) Addington of Union City, In., and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services are 2 p.m. Tuesday at Reichard Funeral Home, Union City,IN., with Rev. Verl Ballmer officiating. Burial in in Springhill Cemetery, Ft. Recovery,OH.
Visitation is two hours prior to services Tuesday at the funeral home.
