Christina was born in Buhajolka, Russia and was 10 years old when her Hoerth family came to America in 1893. On March 12, 1903, 1 day after her 20th birthday, she married John M.Zimbelman. She was a wonderful cook and always felt blessed that they always had food and never had to go without a meal. She also said that with 7 boys and 3 girls there was never any leftovers either. They had a total of 11 children. Albert their 3rd child died at the age of 2 years and 1 1/2 months from Rheumatic fever. Christina passed away at age 84.
