Sharon Kay Rauls daughter of the late Mary Moffit Brooks and Fred Brooks was born in Ellington, Missouri, on July 8, 1943. She departed this life at St. John's Mercy in St. Louis, Missouri, on September 3, 2009, having attained the age of 66 years, one month and 26 days.
On November 26, 1965 in Cahokia, Illinois, Sharon was united in marriage to Ernest Rauls and to this loving union three children were born. Sharon was saved and baptized in 1956. She was a member of the Ellington First Baptist Church and she attended the Centerville First Baptist Church. Sharon enjoyed going camping and spending time on Current River. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Jimmy Brooks and one sister, Shirley Gossett.
Sharon is survived by her husband Ernest Rauls of Ellington, Missouri, two sons, Jimmy Rauls of Cahokia, Illinois, Patrick Rauls and wife Jamie of Troy, Illinois, one daughter, Mary Kay Guelbert of Barnhart, Missouri, three grandchildren, Sarah Guelbert of Barnhart, Missouri, Matthew Guelbert of Barnhart, Missouri, Bridget Rauls of Troy, Illinois, three sisters, Wanda Geist of Cahokia, Illinois, Dorothy Gastineau of Ellington, Missouri, Freda King of Ellington, Missouri, and a host of other relatives and many friends who will mourn her passing.
