Dorothy A. Charlton Rosenberry, 88, died Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at Lebanon Valley Brethren Home in Palmyra. She was the wife of the late Charles L. Rosenberry.
Born in Oxford, she was the daughter of the late Frank S. Charlton, Sr. and the late Etta Sumner Charlton.
Dorothy was a bookkeeper at Oxford Gas Co., Lipkins Furniture of Oxford and Spellman & Sumner Dentist in West Chester.
While working in Oxford and West Chester, she was a member of the Churches of the Nazarene. Dorothy then moved with her husband to Lebanon Valley Brethren Home in Palmyra, after their retirement and became active members of the Hershey Church of the Nazarene.
Dorothy is survived by her step-daughter, Grace R. Gale (Philip M.) of West Chester; step-daughter, Charlotte M. Blain (James) of Coudersport, Pa.; six step-grandchildren; 13 step-great-grandchildren; niece, Thelma J. McGinnis (William, Jr.) of New Holland, and other nieces and nephews; sister, Edna Stump (Glenn) of Harrisburg; and sister, Colleen Johnson (Paul) of Nottingham.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Frank, Jr., Donald and Wayne and two sisters, Thelma N. and Una J.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Service, 11 a.m. Monday, July 16, at the Oxford Church of the Nazarene, 116 E. Locust St. Oxford, with a visitation beginning at 10 a.m.
Interment Longwood Cemetery, Kennett Square.
