Deforest Maywood Turner was born in DesMoines, Boone, Iowa to Joseph Green and Rebecca R. (Boyer) Turner. He was my great grandfather born sixth of eight siblings. He married Daisy Ann Miller in Perry Iowa in 1896 and moved out west living for a short while in Allen, Quay, New Mexico before moving on up through California and eventually settling in the Seattle area around 1913.
