GREAT BEND - Marie Burk,
88, died Jan. 15, 1989, at Central
Kansas Medical Center. Born Feb.
14, 1900, at Norka, Russia, she
married Gloyd Burk Sr. Sept. 2,
1934, at Wichita. He died in August
1975.
She was a retired florist and a
longtime Great Bend resident,
moving from Wichita.
She was a member of Great Bend
First Presbyterian Church, Order
of the Eastern Star, past worthy
high priestess of the White Shrine,
Wichita, charter member of the
Silver and Gold Club, and the Great
Bend Garden Club.
Survivors: stepsons, Gloyd G.
Burk Jr., Wichita, Vilmore Burk,
Jacksonville, Fla.; one nephew;
seven grandchildren; and three
great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday
at Bryant-Christians. Funeral
Home, Great Bend, the Rev. Louis
Dale. Burial will be at LaCrosse
Cemetery. Memorials
may go to the Starkey Developmental
Center, Wichita.
