Visitation will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Miller Memorial Chapel in Visalia. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Lindsay District Cemetery.
Mrs. Cranston was born in Lindsay. She was a resident of Visalia before moving to Porterville. She retired from Tulare County after working at Springville Hospital, the county Tax Collector's office and the Sheriff's Department. She was a member of the Vintage Chevrolet Club and enjoyed traveling, camping, music and crocheting.
Survivors include a son, Ken Cranston of Napa; a daughter, Carolyn Phillips of Porterville; a brother, Preston Gandy of Fresno; a sister Barbara Huff of Visalia; six grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Lloyd Cranston; and parents, Waldro and Nellie Gandy.
Arrangements are under the direction of Miller Memorial Chapel, Visalia.
