MRS. ISAAC ASHTON DEAD

Abazail White was born to Henry and Rebecca White, February 4th, 1821. Was married to Isaac Ashton in the county of Hancock and state of Illinois, in the year 1841, moved to what is now known as Ashton's grove in Monona county, Iowa, in February 15th, 1852. There were born to Isaac and Abazail Ashton, eight children, four boys and four girls, five of whom are now living, two boys and three girls. Mrs. Ashton died at River Sioux February 5th, 1896, at the age of 76 years and 1 day old. She was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of L. D. S. at Nauvoo, Illinois, in 1840; and afterwards identified herself with the re-organization of said church. She lived a consistent Christian life and was loved by those who knew her. Loss to others, will be a gain to her. Funeral sermon by Elder J. C. Crabb, February 7th, 1896.
