Pearl Vincent Pringle, 100, entered the presence of her Lord on Tuesday, August 17, 2004. This lady of Proverbs 31 will be remembered for her godly life and her loving concern for others. She is preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Joseph E. Pringle, who pastored churches in Pennsylvania, in New York, and the Westminster and Woodside Presbyterian Churches in Roanoke. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Doran and son-in-law, Charles; two grandchildren, Cheryl Spence and husband, Nathan, of Roanoke; and Jonathan Doran and wife, Lorraine, of Nicholasville, Kentucky; two great-grandchildren, Clara Pearl and Jacobie James Spence; and nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Grace Academy Scholarship Fund, 2731 Edgewood Street, Roanoke, or to the Mission to the World Fund at Westminster Presbyterian Church. A graveside service will be Friday, August 20, 2004 at 10 a.m. at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, followed by a memorial service at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 2216 Peters Creek Road, at 12 noon. The family will greet friends Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Oakey's North Chapel and prior to the service at the church.
