Mr. Mehrle Lewis Hobbs, Jr., 46, of Mt. Airy, passed away on July 7, 2012 at Frederick Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.Born June 4, 1966 in Frederick, he was the son of Clara Hobbs of Mt. Airy and the late Mehrl L. Hobbs, Sr. Mehrle graduated from Linganore High School, Class of 1984, and was an expert automobile painter. He was an active student of the Bible, and asked many questions of his pastors.In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Pamela Wetzel. In addition to his mother, Mehrle is survived by two children, Shayne Hobbs of Mt. Airy and Jacqueline Hobbs of PA; a brother, Greg Hobbs of Baltimore; his former wife, Stephanie Miller of PA; two nephews, Alan and Robbie Wetzel, several cousins, and many loyal friends.A committal service will be held at 9:00 AM on Wednesday, July 11th in the Garden of Devotion at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, 9501 U.S. Route 15 N in Frederick. In lieu of flowers, donations to defray cemetery and funeral expenses may be made to the Mehrle Hobbs Fund in care of Calvary Assembly - Frederick, 8234 Woodsboro Pike, Walkersville, MD 21793. Arrangements are with Resthaven Funeral Services, Skkot Cody P.A. in Frederick.
