Mrs. John T. Roberts

Valdosta, Ga., June 24 - Mrs. T. Roberts, 74, died at her home here tonight folling a long illness .

Mrs. Roberts was the widow of the late former mayor, John T. Roberts, and a member of one of the oldest and most prominent Valdosta families.

She is survived by nine children, including Leland Roberts, Valdosta.

Mrs. John T. Roberts

Valdosta, Ga., June 29,- Funeral services were conducted yesterday afternoon for Mrs. John T. Roberts, aged 74, pioneer resident and one of the most prominent ladies of this city.

The services were delayed until the arrival of one of her daughters, Mrs. Abial Winn, who was in Salt Lake City, at the time of the death of Mrs. Roberts.

The service was in charge of Dr. Henley M. Fugate, pastor of the First Baptist Church.

Surviving Mrs. Roberts are nine children, two sons and seven daughters. The include W. Leland Roberts and John Young Roberts, Valdosta; Mrs. Abial Winn, Valdosta; Mrs. Henry Covington, Jacksonville, Fla.; Mrs. W. E. Pendleton, Macon; Mrs. W. C. Graham, New Orleans; Mrs. W. E. Reddles of Washington and Valdosta; Miss Edwina Roberts and Mrs. Redden Parramore, Valdosta. She is also survived by several sisters, including, Mrs. H. Y. Peeples, of Phoenix, Ariz.; Mrs. W. F. Pendleton, of Brywn Athyn, Pa.; Mrs. Jerry Jones, of Valdosta; Mrs. Henry Austin of Greensville, S. C., and Mrs. J. W. Austin, of Atlanta.

Interment was made at Sunset Hill Cemetery.
