Mrs. Clara Mae Mullinax McBryde, 80, 844 Prospect Road, Rockmart, formerly of Aragon, died Monday, October 10, at her residence. She was born March 18, 1914, in Forsyth County, was a member of Aragon Methodist Church, a member of Rockmart-Aragon Hospital Grey Ladies and a retired Aragon Mill employee. She was preceded in death by her husband, Julian A. McBryde; parents, Rev. M.M. and Ruth Samples Mullinax; six brothers, Athan Mullinax, Webster Mullinax, Randall Mullinax, Carl Mullinax, Everett Mullinax and James Mullinax; and sister Mrs. Cleo Thomas. Surviving are one daugther Aletha McBryde of Rockmart; three brothers, Major Mullinax of Alpharetta, Donald Mullinax and Clay Mullinax, both from Cumming; three sisters, Mrs. Faye Gazaway of Lula, Mrs. Dorothy Gravitt of Cumming and Mrs. Lessie Whatley of Cedartown; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 11 from the Freeman Harris Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Carl Robinson and Rev. Joe Williams officiating. Interment followed in Rose Hill Cemetery. The following nephews served as pallbearers: Ralph Mullinax, Jimmy Mullinax, A.J. Mullinax, Willie Mullinax, Barry Mullinax and Gene Whatley.
