BRUNO SCHROEN DIES MONDAY AT THIS HOME

Bruno Schroen, aged 85, a life-long resident of this community, died at his home Monday, September 17 at 12:45 p.m.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, September 19, at 2 p.m. at the Culkin Funeral Home, Forrest, with Rev. E. F. Klingensmith pastor of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran church; Chatsworth, officiating.

Music was provided by Mrs. Richard Ashman and Mrs. Clyde Hornickel. Mrs. Charles Merritt, Forest, was organist. Mrs. Arnold Ashman and Mrs. Richard Ashman were in charge of floral tributes.

Casket bearers were Vernon Kemnetz, John Ruppel, Kenneth Hummel, Leland Netherton, Harold Hornickel and Burnell Henrichs.

Mr. Schroen was born March 24, 1871 in Germanville township, the son of John and Augusta Schroen. He married Miss Bertha A. Wurmnest on October 19, 1904 in Peoria.

He was a farmer in Germanville Township for many years prior to his retirement nineteen years ago. Since that time he has resided in Chatsworth.

He leaves surviving, his wife, and one son, Clarence J. both of Chatsworth. His parents, an infant daughter and one brother preceded him in death.

The family requested that expressions of sympathy be in the form of contributions to the building fund of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran church, Chatsworth.
