Tarcela was the daughter of Genovivo Calcis and Maximina Lucero Tizon born in the Samar Province of Philippines. Tarcela immigrated to the Hawaiian Island in 1947 after the birth of her son Marcelino Thomas Natividad ( and Marriage to Marcelino Natividad).
Tarcela was a devout Roman Catholic who prayed the Rosary daily. She was a graduate of Leilehua Adult Education, obtained her LPN License in Hawaii and her Registered Nurse degree from Northern Virginia Community College
Surviving children are Marcelino "John" Natividad of Las Vegas, NV; Millie Natividad (Eaton) Mouer of Waynesboro, PA; Leonora Natividad Huffman of Las Vegas, NV; Joseph Natividad of Honolulu, HI; and Patricia Natividad Zwald of Baltimore, MD.
Tarcela is also survived by her brothers in the Philippines Gilbert , Floro, Femem, Francisco and countless grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She assisted in one of her nieces Marivic Arcales of Catablogan, PI in obtaining a RN degree in the Philippine Island so she could immigrate to the USA and also assist her family in the PI (which she does)

Tarcela divorced Marcelino and married Richard Allen Mitchell of Minnesota. Tarcela met Richard in the 1960 shortly after divorcing Marcelino, she did become engaged to Richard but Richard and her decided that she would be better off marrying Al Reid an officer in the US Army. Richard and Tarcela remained friends through out the years and finally got married. Mom and Richard were both cremated and brought back to the islands and dusted together off the coast of Waikiki Beach, Honolulu County, Hawaii.
