Obituary for Mrs. Mary Frances Alderman
Statesboro, GA

Mrs. Mary Frances Woodcock Alderman, age 89, died on Wednesday December 8, 2010 at the East Georgia Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. The native and lifelong resident of Bulloch County was a Homemaker. Mrs. Alderman was a member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church for over 35 years where she was active in the Fellowship Sunday School Class and the Ladies Bible Study Group. She was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Vinnie Mae Woodcock and her husband Emit Alderman.

Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law Jimmie and Kay Alderman of Statesboro, GA and Eric and Diane Alderman of Lunden WV; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren; her aunt Lillie Dixon of Waycross, GA.

The visitation will be held on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held on Friday at 2:00 p.m. at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Julian Ward and Dr. Max Alderman officiating.

The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service.

Interment will be in the Alderman Family Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Louie Goodman, Clevie Goodman, Ronnie Alderman, Victor Grant, Joe Sconyers and Ray Goodman.

Honorary pallbearers are the Deacons of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Ronald McDonald House, 4710 Waters Ave. Savannah, GA 31404.
